A Survivor’s Journey!

The Survivor behind the ride… Meet Judy, survivor for whom I am dedicating my ride to.

Judy will be blogging about the journey that she is courageously facing. To read her story, click here.

~ A Survivor’s Journey

I talked about her before in one of my blog posts, my fiesty and beautiful red head colleague.  Judy and I are in this together; she is spending the next fews months fighting breast cancer, and I will raise funds to advance research.  Together we will raise awareness.

I have worked with Air Canada to open an Aeroplan Charitable Pooling Account. Aeroplan miles collected from July 1 to Aug 1 will be used to have Judy meet me at the finish line upon my arrival in Texas and together we will take part in the LIVESTRONG Austin Challenge 5km run/walk on October 23rd (which is coincidently her birthday!

Please contact me (click here) if you wish to donate aeroplan to this cause!

Below is Judy’s Journey that I will share with you as she fights her way back to health!

Is Isabelle doing the Lance Armstrong ride, if so my nephew did it last year. Is this a recent picture– you look great. Instead of going blond maybe I would look better red. Good night. Geraldine

    To my Auntie,

I guess people forget how lucky they are to have family in their lives and it takes something like your “journey” to open our eyes. We get so caught up in our own little worlds that we forget sometimes about the meaningful people who have helped guide us in life when we were young. I just wanted you to know that you have always been in my eyes “the strongest” and “beautiful” person I’ve ever known. I remember sitting down beside you as a little girl when you used to get ready for work and I always thought “I hope I grow up to be beautiful like my auntie Judy”. It was your smile and your kind words to me growing up that made me always know that you loved me and that I was special to you. You will always be beautiful and strong in my eyes and I know you have alot of us behind you and we are all sharing this journey with you……Love T
